OBJECTS OF THE SOUTH FLORIDA COMPANY, JAMESTOWNE SOCIETY
To provide congenial association among
members whose ancestors struggled together for life, liberty, home and
happiness in this land when it was a new and unknown country.
To share in appreciation and regard for the names,
history, character, deeds and heroism of the founders of this country and
of their descendants and to commemorate events of the early history of
Virginia and the Nation.
To discover and preserve family records and
history of the first settlers, their ancestors and descendants.
To encourage and support historical research into
early Virginia and to promote its broadened recognition through education
as the first permanent English settlement in America and support efforts to
restore ancient structures and sites of significance in Virginia.
To embody the principles and objectives of the
parent JAMESTOWNE SOCIETY, consistent with the laws of the United States
